Tindle News saw an opportunity to use Mapfirst alongside their locally focused journalism, helping both residents and visitors discover places to visit and enjoy. The brief was to position Mapfirst on the homepage as a destination for content discovery, using publisher-grade embedded maps that could support both engagement and monetisation.
Using the Map-building tool, Tindle News created a dedicated map landing experience tailored to users in Bishop’s Stortford. Through configuration options, they set GBP as the default currency and focused the map on hotels and accommodation, aligning the content with the needs of visitors to the area. The implementation uses customisable maps that can be deployed via maps iframe or SDK, making it easy to adapt layout, categories, and presentation without development overhead.
