WikiHow wanted to explore how to monetize their travel pages with MapFirst as an evergreen piece of content. The brief was that no development time could be allocated, and that the experience had to remain relevant for all users, since the pages focus on general travel tips rather than a specific destination.
WikiHow wanted to explore how to monetize their travel pages with MapFirst as an evergreen piece of content. The brief was that no development time could be allocated, and that the experience had to remain relevant for all users, since the pages focus on general travel tips rather than a specific destination.
The solution was to integrate MapFirst through Google Ad Manager (GAM). The map uses Geo-IP to display locally relevant places for each user. We also added a click-out feature so the map can open in fullscreen, enabling easier planning and discovery.
