By participating in the MapFirst Partner Program or by embedding, displaying, or otherwise using any MapFirst widget, SDK, or API, you agree to follow these Program Policies as part of the MapFirst Operating Agreement, Conditions of Use, and Privacy Policy.
Purpose of These Policies
These Program Policies explain how Partners and other users may use MapFirst tools and earn revenue through the MapFirst Partner Program. They are designed to ensure fair participation, brand safety, and a consistent user experience across all properties using MapFirst content.
Widget, SDK, and API Use
You may embed MapFirst widgets or call the MapFirst API or SDK only on websites, mobile apps, or social channels you control.
Your implementation must not alter or obscure MapFirst data, attribution, or branding.
Widgets must load directly from MapFirst servers. Caching, scraping, or re-hosting MapFirst data is not allowed.
You must not use the widget, SDK, or API in ways that degrade performance, harm user privacy, or mislead visitors.
MapFirst may set technical limits (for example, rate limits or key quotas) and may update these from time to time.
Attribution and Branding
All MapFirst widgets and maps must include a visible “Map powered by MapFirst” or similar attribution.
You may use MapFirst logos, screenshots, or map previews for editorial or promotional purposes only if attribution is clear and accurate (for example: “Map data © MapFirst 2025”).
You may not imply endorsement, partnership, or sponsorship by MapFirst unless expressly approved in writing.
MapFirst reserves the right to revoke use of any branding assets that are misleading or inconsistent with our visual identity guidelines.
Eligible Clicks and Fraud Prevention
Only registered Partners can earn revenue for valid clicks, as defined by MapFirst tracking systems.
MapFirst’s determination of what constitutes an eligible click is final.
Invalid clicks include, but are not limited to, self-clicks, automated traffic, incentivized or misleading prompts, and traffic generated through bots or scripts.
Partners must not encourage users to click links solely to generate earnings.
MapFirst continually reviews click data and may adjust or reverse payments for invalid activity.
Content and Brand Safety
Partners and users must not embed MapFirst tools on or alongside content that:
promotes violence, hate, discrimination, or illegal activities;
contains sexually explicit or adult material;
spreads misinformation or deceptive claims;
infringes the rights of others, including copyright and trademarks;
interferes with or damages MapFirst systems.
Violations may result in suspension or permanent loss of access.
Developer and SDK Terms
Access to the SDK or API requires a valid API key issued by MapFirst.
You must keep your key confidential and use it only for approved implementations.
Do not share keys, bypass authentication, or use the SDK or API to build competing services.
MapFirst may audit your API calls and require technical changes for performance or compliance reasons.
If MapFirst revokes your key, you must immediately stop using all SDK and API calls.
Data, Privacy, and User Consent
You must comply with all applicable data-protection and privacy laws, including GDPR and Swiss data-protection regulations.
You are responsible for obtaining user consent for cookies, analytics, and location data used by MapFirst widgets.
You may not collect, store, or share MapFirst user data beyond what is necessary to display maps or measure engagement.
Any personal data processed through MapFirst tools is subject to the MapFirst Privacy Policy.
Advertising and Sponsorship
MapFirst widgets and Agents may display sponsored or branded content.
Partners may not modify, hide, or replace sponsored messages or disclosures.
All sponsorships or branded Agent integrations must comply with the Program Policies and applicable advertising laws.
MapFirst may introduce new sponsorship formats or eligibility criteria at any time.
Monitoring, Audit, and Enforcement
MapFirst reserves the right to review any implementation at any time for compliance.
We may collect diagnostic or telemetry data to verify usage.
If we detect misuse or policy breaches, we may:
◦ disable your widget, SDK, or API access;
◦ withhold or reverse payments;
◦ terminate your participation in the Program.
We may also notify affected brands or partners if your implementation presents a risk to users or reputation.
Updates to These Policies
MapFirst may modify or replace these Program Policies at any time. The latest version will always be posted on mapfirst.ai/legal. Continued use of any MapFirst tool after an update means you accept the new version.
